FAQ

Questions we hear before every booking

Can the pool be heated?

Yes. Pool heat is available from October 1 to May 1 for $50 per day or $300 per week plus tax, and it is purchased for the whole stay rather than day by day. The pool is saltwater, so it is gentler on skin and swimsuits than chlorine. From May through September the Florida sun does the job on its own.

Is there a minimum stay?

Peak-season bookings are 7 nights minimum; the minimum varies the rest of the year. The Vrbo calendar shows the current rules for any week you are considering.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Entry is keyless; you will receive your door code before arrival, so there is no key handoff to coordinate for 29 people arriving in six cars.

How many cars can we bring?

The driveway holds 6 to 8 vehicles. For a group of 29 that usually means carpooling or one or two large SUVs. Street parking is not something we can promise.

Can we host a party or a reunion dinner?

A reunion dinner for your registered guests, yes. Events, parties, and weddings, no. The house has decibel monitoring and quiet hours run from 10 PM to 8 AM; the neighbors live here year-round and we want them to keep liking us. Tampering with the monitors carries a $500 fine.

Are pets allowed?

No pets, including service-animal look-alikes with no paperwork. We know this rules out some families, and we would rather say it plainly now than disappoint you at the door.

What is the exact bed setup?

Five king beds, one in each king suite. Two bunk rooms on the third floor with full-over-full bunks that sleep up to 16 together, each room with its own bath. Two queen sleeper sofas, one in the second-floor lounge and one in the game loft. Seven full baths and one half bath in total.

What should we bring?

Bed linens, bath towels, and a starter supply of toilet paper, paper towels, and dish pods are provided. The kitchen is stocked with cookware and dishes but not food, so plan a grocery run. Bring sunscreen and anything you want for the beach beyond what fits in the house wagon.

How do we get to the beach, and where do we park there?

Walk. The Miramar Beach Regional Access is five to six minutes on foot and the beach wagon is yours for the week. The public lot fills by about 9 AM in season, so guests who drive down usually regret it. Some larger groups rent a golf cart for the week to move chairs and coolers.

How do we book?

Book directly on Vrbo, where you can see live availability and pricing. If you have a question first, send it through the form on the Book page and Monica will answer in English or Spanish. The exact address is shared after booking, and a government ID may be requested at check-in.

House rules

The short version of the fine print

Eight things, none of them surprising. Agreeing to these keeps the house available for groups like yours.

  1. Check in at 4 PM, check out by 10 AM. Your door code arrives before you do; the cleaning crew arrives right after.
  2. Registered guests only overnight. Up to 29 people, and we need everyone on the booking. Day visitors are fine; surprise sleepovers are not.
  3. No events, parties, or weddings. Decibel monitors are installed and stay on. Tampering with one costs $500.
  4. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM. Balconies and the pool patio carry sound farther than you would expect.
  5. No pets. No exceptions, so please do not ask us to make one.
  6. No smoking. Anywhere on the property, including the balconies and the pool deck.
  7. Watch the kids at the pool. It is a private pool at a private home; there is no lifeguard but you.
  8. Bring your ID. We may ask to see a government-issued ID at check-in for the person who made the booking.

Our inquiry form is being connected. For now, message Monica directly on Vrbo and she will reply within the hour.
